About
A bit more about me...
I'm a predominantly self-taught multi-instrumentalist, composer/producer and sound designer/recordist, proficient on guitar, bass guitar and piano (as well as any other instrument I can get my hands on).
My interest in film music (and music, generally) was initially piqued as a child on the way to school, listening to soundtrack albums on repeat in my dad's car; this interest was then rekindled, and enhanced, through my studies of foreign cinema during the course of my BA in Modern Language Studies (French, German and Spanish) at the University of Nottingham. Much of my spare time there was spent shut away in a room glued to my computer and my DAW of choice, Logic Pro - an experience that has vastly improved my understanding of, and aptitude for, the production of music and sound.
Since finishing my degree in languages, I've gained experience working on numerous projects encompassing film, theatre and art exhibitions - composing music, working as a sound designer and, more recently, recording location sound for film.
I've now fully branched out into location sound territory, having worked as a sound recordist on multiple short films and promo videos, and - with an ever expanding list of kit - I hope to continue working in this field and gaining valuable experience.
